Daniel Kahneman

Daniel Kahneman is a psychologist and Nobel laureate known for his work in behavioral economics and cognitive psychology. He is best recognized for his research into the dual processes of thought, which he outlined in his book “Thinking, Fast and Slow.” Kahneman distinguishes between two systems of thinking: System 1, which is fast, automatic, and often emotional; and System 2, which is slower, more deliberate, and more logical. His work has significantly influenced understanding of how people make decisions, the biases that affect judgment, and the implications of these processes for economics and policy. Kahneman’s research has shown that human decision-making often deviates from rational models, leading to systematic errors and biases in various contexts.
